Last week, at AIA Chicago’s Designnight, legendary starchitect Helmut Jahn received the institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Black Spectacles, an online architectural software education site, put together this awesome video to celebrate Jahn’s work. From the eccentric Sony Center in Berlin, to Chicago’s very own O’Hare Airport, a 30-year catalogue of Jahn’s incredible designs can be found around the world. The ceremony also included an announcement by the architect himself, who has decided to change the name of his firm to simply “Jahn.” We can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.
