1:775 Map Installation in Berlin to Ring in the City’s 775th Birthday

Spotted by out friends over at The Atlantic Citiess this large-scale map of 18-century Berlin that was recently installed on Museum Island to commemorate the 775th anniversary of the city’s founding. The 1:775-scale map will cover an area of 2,500 meters when it is completed and opened to visitors starting August 25th. Pictured below, landscape architect Lisa Hankow stencils an avenue onto the nearly-finished piece.
