This year’s A+Product Awards Jury includes an expanded list of architects from a remarkable array of renowned firms, including AECOM, Adjaye Associates, Gensler, Handel Architects, HDR, LMN Architects, Mecanoo, Olson Kundig, Perkins&Will, The Rockwell Group, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Woods Bagot and ZGF Architects. Entrants will have their products reviewed in great detail by these firms, who will conduct their assessments according to 3 key criteria: Aesthetics, Performance and Impact.

Here’s a rundown of just some of the standout architects preparing to select the world’s best building products, materials, furniture and lighting this season:


Nermine Zahran, Koichi Takada Architects

Nermine is a Senior Associate and Sustainability Manager at Koichi Takada Architects. She brings to every new opportunity a contagious passion for sustainable design as well as a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices. Nermine believes that it is vital to continually learn – and to educate others in the industry and in the general public – about ways to minimise the impact of the built environment on the planet. She believes that every project is an opportunity to make our communities, and ultimately our world, more liveable and resilient.


Alan Maskin, Olson Kundig

Alan Maskin is a principal / owner of Olson Kundig, where he leads an interdisciplinary team of architects, designers, visual artists and researchers pursuing unconventional challenges in public places. Maskin has won several international design competitions, including the Bob Dylan Center opening in May 2022 and ANOHA at the Jewish Museum Berlin.

His portfolio includes museums, installations, exhibits, visitor-based destinations and urban park projects, such as a master plan and renovation of the Bay Area Discovery Museum; Recompose Seattle, a burial alternative; and The Century Project at the Space Needle, which received a 2022 AIA National Architecture Honor Award.


Julian Weyer, C.F. Møller Architects

Julian Weyer was born in Berlin, and has lived in Denmark since 1975, where he finished his studies at the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1994. Since then, he has lectured at the School of Architecture, and worked professionally as an architect and at C.F. Møller Architects, before becoming a partner of C.F. Møller Architects in 2007.

Julian Weyer has extensive experience in the field of architecture, landscape architecture and urban design, including numerous competition wins and award-winning designs. He is working on projects in Denmark, Germany and the UK as well as worldwide, with a particular focus on creating integrated and innovative solutions where urban spaces, landscapes and buildings go hand in hand with social and environmental sustainability. He is also a frequent lecturer worldwide, and author of articles and book publications.

Awards include the European Architecture Award, the Iconic Award, the International Architecture Award, Civic Trust Awards, RIBA International Award, Aarhus and Odense Municipality Architecture Awards, Residential of the Year WAN AWARD, Commercial of the Year WAN AWARD, Worldwide Brick Award and the Danish Academy Council prize.


Louise Braverman FAIA, Louise Braverman Architect

Practicing locally and globally, Louise Braverman is an award-winning architect, whose highly focused firm is committed to building sustainable architecture of art + conscience. A graduate of the Yale School of Architecture, she established her practice, Louise Braverman Architect, to design aesthetically inventive architecture that is situated in its time, place, and culture. Recent projects include Centro de Artes Nadir Afonso, an art museum in Portugal that encourages public participation with art; the Derfner Museum, an art museum in Riverdale, New York that facilitates multi-generational engagement through amplified ADA compliance, and Village Health Works Staff Housing, a net-zero dormitory for medical workers located on an off-the grid site in post-genocide Burundi, Africa.

Louise lectures frequently about the significant role architecture can play for all segments of society. Her work has won over 50 design awards resulting in her selection as a New York Architectural League’s Emerging Voice, elevation to fellowship in the American Institute of Architects and 5 consecutive invitations to present the work of her firm at the Venice Architecture Biennale, both at international exhibits and at the United States Pavilion.


Ken Wilson FAIA, FIIDA, ASID, LEED Fellow, Perkins&Will

Ken Wilson is a Design Principal and one of two Co-Global Design Directors for Interiors at Perkins&Will. Ken’s portfolio includes architecture, interiors, graphics, and product design and he is the only architect in the world to hold fellowships in the AIA, IIDA, and the Green Building Certification Institute (LEED Fellow). His projects have been published in eight different countries and have received over 125 national and local design awards. In 2005 he was named Designer of the Year by Contract Magazine and in 2018 he received ASID’s Designer of Distinction Award which annually honors one professional who has established a body of superior work demonstrating creativity, excellence, and innovation.


Benjamin Saxe, Studio Saxe

Benjamin’s belief in the positive role architecture can play in society worldwide- stems from his studies in Costa Rica and the USA, as well as his work in Europe on a number of large international projects. “Sustainability permeates everything we do and it’s not only something that is just an ‘add-on’ to the further phases of a project, but is an intrinsic part of a holistic design methodology,” states Saxe.

While pursuing his master’s degree at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Benjamin explored how different materials could be used in construction in new and exciting ways. During his time working at RSHP, Benjamin was responsible for the design and delivery of major projects such as World Trade Center Tower 3 in New York, a high-end development for the Prince of Monaco in Monte Carlo, and a variety of residential and office towers in the Middle East and Asia.


Cristiano Luchetti

Cristiano Luchetti is an architect, a researcher, and an educator holding more than 25 years of experience in both professional practice and academia. He is a doctoral researcher at the Universita’ Politecnica delle Marche and a lead design consultant for large-scale projects in the Middle East’s residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors. Since 2012, Cristiano has taught and researched architectural and urban design for UAE universities.

He is associate editor of Compasses Architecture & Design and regularly writes about the architecture and urbanism of the Arabian Gulf. In 2018 he co-curated the Egyptian pavilion at the Architecture Venice Biennale, and in 2021 co-authored the book “Desert:Space – Architecture for Emptiness.” He recurrently serves as a juror for the most prominent international competitions and awards.


Eugene Pinchuk, FEEEL Design

Eugene Pinchuck is CEO and Co-Founder of FEEEL design, a Designer Architectural Products Manufactory in Canada. He is also COO at MNR Custom Metal Inc, an architectural custom fabrication company in Canada with an outstanding portfolio including projects such as One Penn Plaza, New York, Ritz Carlton Hotel, New York, AC Hotel, New York, Bank of Canada, Ottawa, National Art Center, Ottawa, and the Hotel and Museum in TWA Flight Center of the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, designed by famous architect Eero Saarinen.


Peter R. Verne, AIA, LEED AP, FCA

As a child, Peter Verne always drew buildings. Raised outside of Washington D.C., his school field trips provided early exposure to the power and potential of civic architecture. That background has led Peter to a 30-year career collaborating with public and private institutions across many building types, including higher education, science + technology, and healthcare. These experiences have honed Peter’s ability to synthesize the needs, goals, and constraints of complex, multi-stakeholder projects. As an associate and lead designer for the New York City office of FCA, Peter is adept at articulating design approaches to both inspire and foster buy-in.


Jonathan McDowell

Jonathan McDowell is a director and co-founder of Matter Architecture in London UK, leading on the design of a wide range of projects- from public realm and bridges, to education, community and residential buildings; he was previously a partner in McDowell+Benedetti. He is a member of numerous design review panels in the UK, including HS2 Rail’s independent design panel, and is a Competitions Adviser for the Royal Institute of British Architects as well as a regular juror on national and international awards panels.
