Located
in the middle of a warehouse district of downtown Nashville, a former tequila
bar gets a face-lift from its misplaced hacienda style architecture.
The
design direction was to replace the dour, uninviting fade and eyesore color scheme with an architecture
that stands up to the brawn of its warehouse neighbors. The facade is composed
and detailed with a scheme that includes three large custom designed glass
garage doors and an new entry feature. Hemlock, oak, and CorTen steel is employed in
the detailing.
Re-claimed
oak boards from torn down whiskey distilleries in Kentucky were re-purposed for
many of the interior design features within.
The
existing red metal roof was removed, re-cut, re-painted, and re-installed on
the building.
