The house is in a peaceful area in connection with birdlife and horse area and the view is spectacular.The house is designed in two parts, a main house of concrete and a smaller wooden house, they are connected through a glass entrance. This makes the house flexible for different needs, it can function as one unit or as a main house and an extra house for guests, yoga, working etc. The kitchen, dining and living rooms are in the main house as well as the master bedroom and one extra bedroom.In Reykjav√≠k area the houses are heated with sustainable geothermal heating. We took full advantage of that in the design of this house, by using a floor heating system, the master bed fundament is made of concrete and has a built in floor heating system and in the shower in the timber house, there is a radiator bench. The remaining heat is used for snow melting on the terasse and on the parking spaces.In the living room there is a big corner window that allows the outside and the inside to melt together. The interior is specially designed for easy householding and to enjoy the view while working in the kitchen area.The house makes a shelter from the northern wind on the terasse. There we have a hot tub and from there, the water flows calmly to a cooler tub for the children.
