The Pearl – Qatar is a new 14 million-square-foot, $2.5
billion island community off the coast of Doha, Qatar. Both a community and a
tourist destination, The Pearl is the result of increased efforts to diversify
the country’s economy. Built on a former pearl diving site, its name pays
tribute to its strong historical and cultural ties to the sea. The exclusive
island retreat will eventually house more than 30,000 residents in an upscale,
multi-cultural community. The four-phase development comprises 10 distinct
districts including beachfront villas, elegant townhomes, luxury apartments,
five-star hotels, marinas, retail and restaurant offerings.
