Tao Beach Nightclub
After the success of Tao, management wanted to expand the venue onto the Venetian's rooftop pool area with the creation of Tao Beach, a daytime or evening nightclub experience with a casual but exotic appeal. Schoos worked with the architecture firm of Klai Juba to make clever use of the existing bronze Venetian trellis structures, converting them into orange cabanas with an Asian influence. Water features, cabanas and landscaping were all redesigned using gold and red fabrics, sheer curtains and Asian statuary and artifacts. Five years of consistent business without dropoff, even during the recession, attests to the success of the concept and design. In fact, this venue started the Las Vegas outdoor nightclub craze which continues to this day.
