Station House, a luxury residence in Washington, DC, offers residents an unparalleled array of amenities, including lounges, oversized terrariums, a game room, demonstration kitchen, dog spa and multiple outdoor spaces. The 11-story, LEED certified building is situated in the Atlas District near the burgeoning neighborhood’s many restaurants, shops, clubs, and art galleries.
Rockwell Group developed a fresh and contemporary interpretation of industrial design for Station House’s public areas and residential units. The inherent beauty of unfinished, natural materials serves as leitmotif. Raw concrete columns are set off by more refined polished concrete floors. Public areas and residential units feature handcrafted furniture and lighting by Brooklyn-based artisans. Custom metalwork influenced by mullioned factory windows provides accents throughout the ground floor. Where possible, our studio created areas that playfully dissolve the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.
