As a member of the Downtown Arena Design Team (DADT), BBN provided full landscape architectural services for the Sprint Center, a key component in Kansas City’s downtown renaissance. The landscape design features two detailed entry plazas that complement the arena’s form, while providing an appropriately scaled and detailed space for pre- and post-event gatherings.
The section of Grand Boulevard from 13th to Truman Road features one of downtown’s most celebrated streetscapes. Serving as the transition space between the entertainment district and the arena, BBN designed the east side of the street harmonizing the differing characters of these two entities.
BBN collaborated with the artist, Chris Doyle, on the placement, form, and materials for “The Moons” public art piece for Kansas City’s One-Percent for Art program’s largest installation.
