The
main concept is an analysis of the past through the transposition from classic
film which rolls up on herself in opposition to the new slide of nowadays which
throws into urban space..
Architectural
volume is enveloped by an irreverent red skin consisting in a structure of
"Dupont Corian®", which exalts the pure lines and the essential
geometry of the theater.
The
elements “talk” each other on an
international stage, speaking about the past and the present; a reading
of shapes that with their composition reveal a relationship of communication described
as it follow:
1) On the top of the roof we have a reticular
structure, an oval shape which
represents "the egg", the object is made of glass "Dupont sentry
glass®" that generate a transparence of volumes and becomes a point of
reference through the artificial light in the night ;
2) The
classic film, placed at the base of the oval shape, represented in a macro scale, is an element of
union among past and future, breaking down the basic geometry.
3) A lamellar structure is anchored to the
theater and with its considerable
cantilever characterizes the
architectural composition outside the theater. The structure is a sort of advanced
body called "slide" that with
its massive volume englobes a plasma screen, that reach the access stairs,
announcing the content and the cultural dynamism of the theater.
4) The
red skin that surrounds the theater stops up to a height of 3 meters from
external balcony, allowing the passage of people that after their entry
discover, with surprise, the same original architectural form with the
cantilever of the main entrance and the great stained glass.
