MVRDV is based in Rotterdam and works in the fields of architecture, urbanism and city planning. Founders are Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries. Recent projects include an urban masterplan in Oslo (Norway), Gwang Gyo (Korea), Greater Paris (France), Tianjin and Chengdu (China) and an eco-city in Logroño (Spain). Examples of projects currently in progress are a market hall and a public library in Rotterdam (Netherlands), a headquarter office in Oslo (Norway) and several housing projects in the Netherlands, Spain, and France. Well-known projects include the Netherlands Pavilion for the Expo 2000 in Hanover and the Make-It Right Housing in New Orleans.The work of MVRDV is published and exhibited worldwide and received many international awards.
