Rockford Health System recently opened a new 11,750 square foot facility. The facility, a renovation within a tenant space in an existing telecommunications facility is part of a regional expansion of women’s healthcare services in the Rockford region.
Larson & Darby Group assisted RMH in the creation of this clinic, which is intended to be a showcase for women’s healthcare services, providing state of the art care within a quiet, restful and spa-like setting.
Four physicians practice in the 4 exam-room clinic. The physicians utilize the latest in diagnostic technologies from digital mammography to ultrasound & biofeedback therapies. Consultation and education areas are integrated throughout the facility to allow for expanded opportunities for patient comfort and education
An aggressive schedule was maintained to that there was no interruption to the owner’s delivery of care.
The development of the design was undertaken in close partnership with the client; from the overall organization of the floor plan to allow for easy circulation between diagnostic and examination areas, to the materiality that weaves throughout the entirety of the space.
The result is a series of restful space that provides a serene backdrop for the delivery of state of the art medical care.
