A contemporary secondary residence built on the shore of a lake, this is the dream house of the architect – who is also its owner.
The house is composed of two separate volumes, pulled apart to allow space for a covered entryway and a view of the water. The façade of the main volume brings nature into the house through 13-foot-high windows in the living and dining room. A stone paved terrasse on the same level provides unparalleled views of the lake. The second volume is built on two levels, housing bedrooms, a playroom, and service spaces.
The exposed concrete floor is diamond-polished and heated for the comfort of the residents.
