Architects at Granit were tasked with rethinking and modernizing this 1920s detached house into a space for family life, guests, as well as improved flow, all within permitted development rights.
The brief for the property focused on integrating family space on the ground floor, with a kitchen, dining, lounge, and play area leading into the garden, while keeping a separate lounge. The additional living area was created by utilizing a garden space to create a contemporary glazed extension, unifying the newly refurbished home and garden.
Granit Architects managed to sustain aesthetic harmony between new and existing features, while modernizing the space for family life, all within the project's initial budget.
