With plans to demolish Qihu360’s original bland closed-office space, our team was contracted to complete the design and construction of a new “young, free, natural, breakthrough” space which integrates the existing building elements. This project helped to unify and integrate the company’s new brand image throughout the space, strengthen the company’s corporate culture and enhance its reputation among other internet-based companies.
This project achieved a record of only four months to design the 40,000 sqm space and to build 18,000 sqm of it. To achieve such a short project schedule, our team made extensive use of factory-made furniture and custom materials which were assembled on site, as well as extensive use of bare roof, open-ceiling plans. As a turnkey project, edg was also able to save time as our team was the designer, contractor and consultant, thus requiring no additional third-party stakeholders. Project teams maintained close communication with the client, to ensure the proper design effect and production cycle are carried through the chain of command.
