For my Fall second year Studio, I engaged in a phenomological study of a woodlands region in Shaw Nature Reserve outside of St. Louis, Missouri. Studying the auditory composition of the site, I drafted several drawings in order to create an observation space for the environment. Next, the project culminated with the design of a classroom for the woodlands that is based on the auditory qualities and characteristics of the tree canopy and foliage within the woodlands.
