The project springs from an existing urban line. The line of Quito’s valley, the line of the airport, the line of history and city. A quest to transform a border into union: a living line that could offer a new spatiality and spread itself throughout the city. An alliance between origin and modernity, making the former tectonic lagoon, which in the past originated the city, part of the lives of its citizens again as if it had ever been there, though for a long time under the land. The project makes the water returns to the surface, proposed by a redesign of simple ways using auto-sufficient technology resources and the essence of the place: a present without limits. A line that becomes lake.
