La Hoya is a fascinating void at the heart of historical center of Almería. In 2009 the City Hall called for ideas within the frame of a 2-phase international competition to define the strategy for the future development of a central park that should also include a civic center and an open archeological site. The particular conditions of the site in relation with the City Hall and the Alcazaba made the project particulary relevant for the future interests of the city.Opera's proposal was awarded with and Accesit.
