Federal Eagle Bonn.
An eagle made of aluminum.
The federal eagle in Bonn was created by digitizing and transferring the geometries from the old original eagle at the water works facility in Bonn into a CAD system.
The new eagle has a wingspan of about 6 meters and is composed of three layers - each with a 10 mm spacing. A special sand blasting and preservation technique were used to give it a distinctive texture.
Unique challenge: The eagle had to be divided into three parts to carry him through the existing door openings in the Chamber.
Specifications:
Weight 1000 kg
Dimensions: 6400 mm x 5200 mm
