Anchored by Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor and Sears, Oakbrook Center is the Chicago-area shopping destination which offers five premier department stores and over 160 upscale specialty shops. Surrounded by gardens filled with flowers, fountains, trees and ponds, this open-air center attracts a wide customer base from the entire Chicago metropolitan area and the Midwest.
In 2013, Oakbrook Center completed a redevelopment project that enhanced the common areas, provided additional amenities and included the redevelopment of an anchor building with additional specialty shops, a new Container Store and first-to-Midwest market retailer PIRCH. This project, combined with the four expansions since its opening in 1962 including the 1991 expansion bringing the first Nordstrom to the Midwest and adding 210,000 square feet of in-line space, has made Oakbrook Center one of the largest shopping centers in the nation with over 2 million square feet of shopping space.
The project features an impressive lineup of luxury and better-price retailers. Top merchants include Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Burberry, Omega, Michael Kors, J.Crew, Anthropologie, Coach, Crate & Barrel and new retailers kate spade new york, BOSS Hugo Boss, Tommy Bahama, Aritzia, Peek and Clarks. In 2014, Le Meridien Hotel will open its first hotel in the Midwest market at Oakbrook Center.
A strong mix of fine dining restaurants exclusive to the market complement Oakbrook Center as a vibrant evening destination. Restaurants include Maggiano’s Little Italy, Mon Ami Gabi, Wildfire, The Cheesecake Factory, Seasons 52 and the newest Old Town Pour House location. Also in 2013, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille opened its first Midwest market location at Oakbrook Center.
