Ningbo transit hub is a five to seven-year temporary structure serving local and long distance buses. We propose a very simple form to reduce the cost of construction costs.
The design eliminates the need for air conditioning through the use of chimneys that ventilate hot air upwards to the exterior and louvers that allow cool air to enter from below. The resulting building form provides a functional, practical and economical solution that meet the needs of the client and the end-users. After the completion of the project, due to the outstanding design quality, as well as economical concern, the transportation department has decided to
maintain the building to serve as apermanent structure.
