This project has taken into account the topographical and urban site constraints, while meeting complex specifications including 4 program elements to function independently: the town hall, a library, an after-school care and a childhood reception center. In the slope and with altimeter settings, three distinct levels develop in successive plates, in direct relation with the natural terrain. Each of these levels is considered as a ground floor with regard to fire regulations. The design of structural schematic implements a longitudinal central concrete core, containing all the wet and technical parts, as well as seeds networks. This core provides bracing and seismic resistance of solid wood, that comes close to the surrounding of floors and facades. These are designed as a post-beam principle for the glass parts, in wooden frame for the solid parts and following the concept of slabs O'portune for all floors. Cladding and tiled slatted of outside casing are made of larch from the local industry to highlight the use of Bauges wood, reduce transportation costs and enhance the skills of the sawyers of the region.
