MPA collaborated with Middlesex Savings Bank’s senior leadership team to configure and design the new branch at 278 Washington Street in Wellesley Hills to be as inviting to customers as possible. To that end, MPA and Middlesex Savings Bank held a number of interactive and collaborative 3D design sessions that incorporated the bank’s design goals with MPA’s experience in bank design.
The new full service location features two teller stations, one managerial office, and one customer service office in 2,200 square feet, and video displays in lieu of paper throughout the branch. The relocation provides the bank with the opportunity to re-conceptualize its approach to customer service and use of technology, while maintaining its community-oriented and friendly staff.
MPA’s design uses a palette of materials that are consistent with Middlesex Savings Bank’s brand image. Sustainable materials were chosen whenever possible, and windows were added to the exterior to draw in natural light and to give visibility to the customized interior graphics.
