Through an immersive, multimedia installation, this Memory Bridge reflects the school's strong sense of its 125-year
history. It also serves
as a "Memory Place" that will be meaningful to future alumni well beyond
their time as students. An impressionistic, motion-sensor-controlled group of ceiling clouds comes alive with symphonies of color. The color design is based upon psychological research to positively impact students' mood and
reduce stress – and add an element of fun and color to the school.Supporting screens are curated by student project teams and faculty. They add new content on a
regular basis to celebrate shared experiences over time and between
school divisions. The Memory Bridge's lighting effects are visible at street level, and in adjoining Lincoln Park, showing the latin School's identity in a new and ever-changing way. A smash hit with the students and the school.
