In 2007, B+H Architects with Perkins+Will was retained to provide full Master Plan, Design and Compliance services on the basis that the project would be awarded as a design, build, finance and maintain contract. Following the completion of a Master Plan looking out to 2024 and assistance in the process of securing rezoning and site plan approval, the project was converted to a Build-Finance model with the B+H team providing full consulting services. The work involves a new wing of 382,250 square feet, plus renovations to 146,290 square feet of the existing 322,460-square foot facility. Currently under construction, this project is registered and targeting LEED Silver certification.
