They are designed to amplify the urban theatre, laid out like a stage set. The aim is to contrast the necessary privacy of an apartment with depth running up the whole height of the building. This depth expands and contracts depending on the orientation. These are external extensions to the main rooms facing south and west. The external surface of the façade is altered by large steel sheets, perforated with perfectly round holes of varying diameter. Depending on whether the partitions are open or closed, the intermediate space (the loggia) is transformed between protected and exposed. The layout is also new, grouping all the apartment’s inert constraints in its centre and freeing up large areas along the façade.
