The client wished for a courtyard which faces the living room. He also wished for an inner garage.
A living room and a courtyard were often arranged on the 1st floor in Japan, but the area was small, so it was arranged on the 2nd floor.

This house was wrapped at an outer wall along "wall retreat line". It's for an intense afternoon sun measure and private securement.
For north side diagonal, the corners in the rectangular upper left in a facade can be rounded off.
An outer wall on the 2nd floor was painted in white and that on the 1st floor was concrete wall with no finish. Contrast of a texture was born by this, and a facade was organized.

The facade is exclusive and hard, on the other hand, the interior is expansive dynamic space.
A living room, a hall of stairs and a nursery connect centering on a courtyard on the 2nd floor. It gets widely refreshingly.
