The existing hospital is arranged around the Grade II* listed chapel of St John with other buildings designated as being ‘of merit’ in close proximity within the local authority’s conservation area.
AWW has been appointed to help in numerous reconfiguration decant projects to rationalise the existing buildings, including the imaging suites and the main reception.
The key driver for the charity of St John was to increase patient experience by providing a calm relaxed atmosphere with better wayfinding and increased
medical care facilities.
The projects were phased and implemented around the full operational activities of the hospital ensuring no disruption to the patient experience.
