Haus Roy has been built in the “Breite” district of Schaffhausen and forms the northern end of the 1911 courtyard housing development “Schwarzadlergüetli”, which surrounds a large courtyard in the shape of a horseshoe. The building is placed between public street and courtyard in a protective manner, yet takes full advantage of the large green space of the common courtyard.
