Through its position next to the principal roads and railway giving access to the town centre, and through its design and size, the stadium has become the new emblem of Le Havre. More than simply a football stadium, which is effective in terms of functionality and technical sophistication, the project creates a strong, unified image thanks to its smooth, transparent, continuous blue envelope. Positioned on a technical plinth, the colourful, fluid silhouette contrasts with the barely planted industrial tissue, linear housing blocks and a changing maritime sky.
