Occupying a pivotal location at the very heart of the campus, the Fulton Building is a new flexible teaching building which will become a major new focal point for the University of Sussex.Standing amongst Sir Basil Spence's 1960s iconic architecture, the building echoes his style of simple forms created from locally sourced materials - brick, concrete, white paint and stained glass - whilst respectfully making its own mark on the landscape. The three-storey building includes two impressive 150-seat, ellipitical stepped floor lecture theatres, each enclosed by two interlocking C-shaped brick forms. Upper levels house flexible learning accommodation that allows for a range of group sizes of bewteen 20 to 50 people.
