Electronic Arts is a campus-style office/studio complex located on 22 acres within Discovery Place in Burnaby, B.C. The five-storey office building terraces in response to the sloping site, taking advantage of northern views and creating accessible roof decks. Multi-level landscaped plazas connect to the motion capture (movie) studio at the rear of the site.
Major features include a glazed atrium "street" that acts both as a lightwell to interior spaces and an orientation/circulation spine between departments and amenities. Exposed structure and 16-foot floor-to-floor heights present a unique, loft-style atmosphere for creative high-tech work environments at computer-intensive workstations, which also feature personalized air control, indirect lighting and glare reduction.
