The Headquarters of the foremost rubber products manufacturer in Sri Lanka. The company produces shoes, tyres and reclaimed rubber products, as well as terra cotta floor tiles and clay roofing tiles.
They are also the sole agents and resellers for Clarks, Reebok and many other international shoe brands.
The design program created a pyramidal hierarchy and setback from the road. The design was to create a simple but disciplined office building in an urban setting which is distraught and confusing. The immediate neighbouring is a Buddhist Temple and the client being a devout Buddhist had a very silent request to create their most important building creating somewhat a respectful and independence setback.
The receding terraces from both front and rear sides of the building creates open terraces for trees and views to the developing city scape.
