Don Café House is a coffee shop in Kosova realized for the first time in Pristina and will open
chain coffee shops throughout Kosova. Our office has been asked to design premises which will
create Don Café House image and would distinguish it from other coffee shops.
The idea / inspiration for the design comes from coffee sack filled with coffee grains.
The walls of the bar are organically shaped and coloured like coffee sack. The columns in
between are wrapped with coffee sacks.
Tables and chandeliers are like coffee grains listed asymmetrically in order to create the
impression of staying inside a coffee sacks.
The seat performs its function also serving as decor in coordination with the front
wall (behind bar) that serves as a decorative addition to the place and functional shelve
for bottles, menus etc..
All consisting elements (the seat, tables, chandeliers, the bar) are designed by Innarch and realized in Prishtina.
Project implementation is done mainly with plywood - 2 cm and 4 cm thick.
To achieve the projected organic form, the plywood was cut in CNC machine
piece by piece and assembled together. Each part of plywood is individually designed
The whole premise consists of:
1365 pieces designed, cut and assembled together.
