SKP Architecture was established in 2009 by Jonny Sturari and Johan Kohls. All two have chosen to meet in their own professional structure after several years of collaboration in renowned agencies in Paris. By the different professional backgrounds and experiences of the three founding members, SKP offers all the riches of a multinational culture specifically European (France, Italy and Germany).
Under cover of this multicultural team, their projects, both by their various programs and scales remain united under a single architectural identity. This identity seems to find its source in the adage which unites the conceptual approach of the two architects: "Simple and Clear." Of course this can refer to a rationalist vision of architecture as we know from history, but unlike a vision of "object-building," SKP projects are always interacting with their environment.
As we see it in the geometry in the scenography treated areas. Openings, frames volumetric games revolve around relationships with the outside. It is the same with the materials used, more natural, less processed as possible to mark a presence and timelessness. This contextual game is more readable by geometric simplicity assumed in their project. The simplicity of shapes, details, solids and voids that are enriched sets of natural light. The atmosphere of spaces is scalable to suit days. Time is visible here.
It is from there that emerges for the visitor, both some clarity but also some purity in Architecture SKP. It is essential for them to offer a confirmed legibility of intentions of a project, and jointly synthesizing the potential of the site with the architecture they offer. This requires a strong conceptual intent, marked both in details like the "everything", but also by a liason indoor and outdoor spaces.
Finally, offer much by using little to approach the essential, is not that what makes a place a space?

This experience continues in a cycle of seminars, conferences and workshops in Rome, Naples and Florence to deepen the concept of the complex project. The mediation space become the starting point of his research and his work in Paris.
Johan Kohls - Cologne - Germany - 1981
Graduated in 2005 of the "Berlin TechnischeUniversität" he multiplied his experiences in different European countries, including Switzerland, Germany and France. His way of designing the architecture is oriented primarily around the concept of spatial clarity and enhancing spaces through natural and artificial light. His research is the harmonious combination of a simple concept with the wealth of materials and meticulous details.
