Cityscope
'Cityscope' amplifies the fragmented perception of urban spaces. The bevelling structure operates like an urban kaleidoscope that reflects the fragmented images of the surrounding facades and composes a three-dimensional densification of the urban context.
The radiant foil, which is applied onto the outer skin of the sculpture, reflects the scenery in different colours dependent on the light ambiance and the position of the beholder.
While moving along the sculpture, the reflected images on the triangular envelope constantly change. At night, the installation is lit from inside and the reflection of the specular envelope changes into complementary colours.
