Amidst a vast expanse in the municipality of Padre Bernardo, located 70 kilometers from Brasília, in Goiás, a vertical structure takes shape as the Ribeiro House. Positioned strategically, the house is situated at one of the highest points of the property, oriented for the contemplation of the valleys that characterize the landscape of the region. The layout unfolds linearly, encompassing, within the internal stone walls, two bedrooms, a shared bathroom, a combined living/dining area, kitchen, and covered laundry space.
The ample openings established by the window frames, located on the longitudinal gables of the house, provide constant ventilation and thermal comfort within the residence, while maintaining the austere architectural language of the house. These frames feature double sealing, with framed glass and pantograph doors with wooden panels. Finally, wooden decks allow for the extension of the house into the outdoor areas sheltered by the overhangs of the roof.
A substantial portion of the layout lies beneath the ceramic roof tiles, which configure the horizontal planes of the roof in contrast to the vertical stone elements. Meanwhile, the garage, under a waterproofed slab, and the uncovered laundry area, characterized by the exposed concrete pergola, are situated at the ends of the house and are enclosed by the final two stone walls that complete the project's design.
The intention was to establish a distinctive design in harmony with the lush landscape – a farmhouse perfectly integrated into the natural scenery of the cerrado.
