The plot is located in a small bay by Lundsviki and has breath taking views of Balestrand and the spectacular landscape of the western coast of Norway to the south. The inspiration for the cottage is located in the surroundings and the area's longstanding architectural style with local materials such as untreated wood and slate. The building's use of natural materials with denominations, untreated cladding of aspen, timber board casted concrete, dry stone walls and slate roof weaver the building into the landscape and muffles the cabin's appearance. The cottage opens onto the sea, and the contrast between the open and closed parts of the cabin creates an experience of great variety in the interior.
