h2o designs together with Silver Thomas Hanley and KANE Constructions designed and fabricated decorative Bubble Water Columns for the new Inpatient Unit at Sunshine Hospital in Melbourne.
Silver Thomas Hanley approached h2o designs with an idea and design concept which we translated into shop drawings, ready for fabrication with LICOM76™. The versatility of the LICOM76™ product allows for difficult and challenging shapes, such as the perfect curve of this seating, to be easily fabricated with precision.
The Bubble Features consisted of a main seating structure which was designed to support and fix the acrylic columns. Each column was custom built to a length of 2.7m with a 300mm diameter and 25mm thick walls.

Our unique method of designing and fabricating these Bubble Water Columns allowed us create the space required to house pumps, filtration and lighting while also allowing access for future maintenance.
Installing the prefabricated Bubble Water Columns with concealed units
With all our projects, h2o designs focuses on the modularity of LICOM76™ and designs features with two goals in mind - an easy install and a unique finished product. This method of designing ensures the prefabricated modular components are easily assembled, reducing the time spend on site by tradesmen.
