Bridgeport Community Center

Community center located in an underprivileged neighborhood of Chicago: Bridgeport area. The biggest challenge was to incorporate to the project a local theatre that existed on the site since 1929: The Ramova Theatre.
Bridgeport Community Center is based in three basic ideas: the creation of a public plaza next to a retail space, a very transparent building with views to the plaza from every space, and the union of the Ramova Theatre with the community center.
