The boarding school for deaf youngsters is a place of living for young girls and boys suffering from this disability. Beyond the technical aspects required by this type of disability – such as visual detectors or automatic devices – the architects wished to explore a special reflexion of patterns and materials. This reflexion has visible achievements on the exterior of the several buildings, through the use of bamboos and perforated metal. The both of them are references to the vegetal environment, which is the one of the parc where lies the national institute for deaf youngsters.
