The
structure includes a number of levels and rooms in various sizes, most of them with
original high domed ceilings built around a central courtyard. My plan is to
create a positive tension between past and present, adding value and
attractiveness with "new" materials – glass, aluminum, cement and
steel - without altering the unique character. The final design creates a
dialogue with the winding alleys of the OldCity,
with mysterious alcoves and hidden gardens for added intimacy.
