In the fashionable maritime neighbourhood of the Barceloneta the streets, especially in summertime, fill up with crowds of turists and locals, looking for a place to have a good time. All the bars and restaurants have a huge number of clientele during that period, so that's why important brands like Campari Group decide to open their doors directly to the public.
The project concerns the restyling of an old restaurant into the new Aperol Spritz Bar, creating an exclusive image for the brand. The main objective was to create an urban space focused mostly on young customers.
The bar is exploited day and night, so the development of the concept of lighting was really indispensable to get the right atmosphere at every moment of the day.
The concept of the project was also inspired by some brand characteristic features like the orange, as fruit and colour and the bubbles, among others.
Rough materials such as natural wood, black iron or painted bricks were used to design the furniture and the wallcoverings. The front of the bar and some walls were also covered with a coarrugated metal sheet.
Spherical crystal lamps, partially painted in orange to allude to the traditional Aperol's spritz glass, hang above the bar in combination with some pendant filament bulbs.
Orange wires, a colorful mirror composition and lighting reflections also give warmth and brightness to the space.
