This house was built on a small place in the city area of Kamikumamoto, Kumamoto.The family composition is the middle-30's husband and wife, and child.The client hoped to build a compact house.The front narrow road of the house is ??meters wide, and the three adjacent houses are built to the very edge of a boundary line.This place is environmentally-disadvantaged, but the client regarded the convenience of daily life as important.This house was designed like ?e? of the alphabet.There is a light court inside of the house, and it was designed like from the inside space will be felt 'open' and from the outside will be felt 'closed'.The outer wall is painted black, and two pieces of black walls stand up in the main facade.There is the main entrance in the gap of the two pieces of black walls. Inside is the relaxed atmosphere like cafe because warm lighting were taken by light court.This is a modernism design and is built by "a traditional method of construction" that is the traditional method of construction of the Japanese wooden building.This is an example of the compact houses to build in the city.?
