RAFAEL DE LA-HOZ Arquitectos
The architectural studio run by Rafael de La-Hoz Castanys was founded in 1920. After two generations of architects, it is currently located in the center of Madrid, where it currently has the multi-disciplinary collaboration of professionals, mainly architetcs, that have worked together for more than fifteen years, giving a continuity to the experience and guarantee provided by the studio's more than ninety years of existence.
Rafael de La-Hoz (Córdoba, Spain) is an architect (ETSAM) and MDI (Master´s degree in Management for Construction and Property Companies) from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. For more two decades he has managed his own architectural studio, specializing both in urban planning projects and in the design and construction of notable architectural complexes in Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Hungary, Portugal, Poland or Rumania, with a wide presence nowadays in France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Marocco or Panama.
The company or rather its directors have received, among other awards:
-The Gold Medal for Spanish Architecture
-The National Architecture Award
-The Silver Medal in the Sofia Biennial
-The Swiss International Habitation-Space Award
-Several Distinctions COAM from the Official Architects' Association of Madrid
-The International Work Award, awarded at the Biennial of Argentinean Architecture (Buenos Aires)
-The Awar for Innovation in the 'Quality, Architecture and Housing Awards' of the Community of Madrid.
-The 'Bex Awards' (Greece) in the Technological Innovation' category and
-The 'American Architecture Awards of the Chicago Athenaeum' (USA)
Rafael de La-Hoz is a founding member of the Contemporary Architecture Foundation, he also is a visiting lecturer at national and international Univesities and is a distinguished speaker and judge of international competitions.

Repsol Corporate Headquarters in Madrid, The headquarters of the Telefónica company, District C, in Las Tablas, Madrid; Endesa headquarters, Madrid; 'Pórtico' building, Madrid; The Higher Council of Chambers of Commerce, Madrid; Rafael del Pino Auditorium building, on Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, Retiro Municipal Council in Madrid and the Spanish Olympic Committee Auditorium in Madrid.
