Anantapa Thongtawach (AMP) is currently enrolled in the master of Fine Art Design & Technology program at Parsons The New School for Design. Having a passion in both architecture and design, she recieved her Bachelor of Architecture in interior architecture at the Bangkok, Chulalongkorn University. In 2010, she decided to start a small design studio called PlayPlain Design.
In year 2012, Anantapa Thongtawach decided to further study the art of design and technology in New York. Her research as a designer revolves around making interactive architectural elements and installations that promote the enhancement of design value and human experiences.
Anantapa Thongtawach has experience creating 3ds products through CAD modeling, specialize in 3ds Max with V-ray rendering, Maya, Rhino, designing new user interfaces / experiences through web and mobile applications, and also has experience with coding platform including C++, objective C, HTML, and CSS. She believes that by implementing new technology in order to provide real time interaction into architecture spaces will further promote the ease of transition between human and design.
Anantapa Thongtawach loves to travel. Therefore, diversity of cultures through experience often became her inspiration in design. For her, the most important thing in designing a space is to design people’s feeling, which means to create what touches people’s hearts. Because nature never shows you the exact same thing twice, and that in itself is proof that it is alive. She wants the spaces she create to be alive and show the beauty of living things. She wants to create mysterious auras that change the qualities of their surroundings merely by their presence.
