Caterina Tiazzoldi, is the principle of the award winning interdisciplinary architecture and design practice, Caterina Tiazzoldi Studio, providing architectural and interior design, set design, urban installations, public art and strategic thinking. Established in 2004, the firm focuses in a new approach to user spatial experience. Caterina Tiazzoldi has worked in a variety of countries, environments.
This cluster based studio includes a network of architects, interior designers, urban planners, structural and environmental engineers, interaction designers and graphic designers. At the heart of the studios work is a commponent of finding innovative design solutions through the strong interaction between professional practice and the research developed in the research lab NSU at Columbia University. Additionally, Caterina Tiazzoldi teaches at the GSAPP at Columbia University in New York and various universities throughout the world.
The studio has been invited to particiapte to several significant events and museums such as the Saint Etienne Biennale, Boston Design Museum, Soho Digital Gallery, Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris, Honour Guest at Salone Satellite, Architecture and Design Film Festival Tribeca, Made Expo, Experimenta Design Lisbon, Torino World Design Capital.
