Berta Barrio, Architect by the ETSAB-UPC Polytechnic University of Barcelona (Spain) in 2000. In 2001 she founds her first office Godia&Barrio, arquitectes. In 2010 she set up her current office with the architect Josep Peraire. She combined the activity in her office with working in project management in Public Companies like Barcelona Regional (1998-2002, working in urban strategic plans and infrastructures) and in 22@ Barcelona (2009, working in project management of public space). Her projects have been widely published and recognized with awards like Short Listed on III Mediterranean Landscape Award 2011, FAD 2001, European Landscape Award 2002, Girona Award 2007, and Long Listed on WAN AWARDS 2011 and BEAU XI - XII. Highlights in her career are Can Llaurador Park and Cultural Complex in Teià, Hotel Meliá Golf Vichy Catalán in Caldes de Malavella, 77 public housing tower (77 dwellings) in Plaça Europa of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Aeronautical Museum of Barcelona Airport and the Refurbishment of the health care building CAP Bages.
In 2012, the office BERTA BARRIO I JOSEP PERAIRE is awarded with the 1st prize at the International Competition “16 Portes de Collserola. Porta 7 Vallcarca - Penitents (Barcelona)“to develop a sector of Barcelona directly connected with Collserola Natural Park. In 2010 the office is awarded with the 1st Prize at the international competition EUROPAN10.
