Alric Galindez began its activities in 1995, generating various types of works from the outset, with a special emphasis on seeking contemporary proposals.
“We understand the profession as an activity that should encompass different facets: architecture as a creative act of ongoing exploration, construction and economics as a means to realize ideas, and the relationship with the client as a fundamental part of developing proposals.”
The studio has a particular interest in works whose essence lies in Design and Creative Proposals. In this sense, the size and location of the commission are not constraints, thus encompassing the different scales of the discipline. They have completed more than 200 works and projects of various scales and programs, primarily single-family housing. They have their own offices that work collaboratively in Buenos Aires and San Carlos de Bariloche, Patagonia.
The relationship with the client and the personal oversight of the partners in each project and work is prioritized, with special care taken in the simultaneity of the tasks. This way, they have worked with both Argentine and foreign clients.
Professional training and growth are topics of particular interest to the studio. Participation in national and international competitions and teaching at the University of Buenos Aires are part of this concern.
The studio has been consolidating in recent years, with its work published and awarded on several occasions. Among its main awards are the 1st prize in the Event Center Competition at La Rural (2006), the 1st prize in the Polideportivo Stadium Competition in Caleta Olivia (2007), the Biennial CPAU SCA 2008 Award - Mention for the Architecture Office work, the Biennial CPAU SCA 2006 Awards - Mention for the restoration of Palacio Barolo, the Biennial CPAU SCA 2006 Awards – Distinction for the Industrial Plant work in Patagonia, and the National Award for the best intervention on built heritage 2003 (SCA CICOP) – Special Mention for the restoration of Palacio Barolo.
The studio has participated in several exhibitions, notably taking part with its works in the International Architecture Biennials of Buenos Aires (2007/2009), Miami (2009), São Paulo (2007), and Venice (2008) as part of the Argentine representation.
