Architecture
Étrangère (Aétrangère) is a design practice based in Paris and founded by the architect and urban
planner Mario Caceres as a cooperative and multi-disciplinary conception hub addressed
to a new transcultural society.
Our design research involves the creation of innovative and hybrids design strategies, developed from new complex cultural conditions and merging different scales of human environment. Aétrangère’s sustainable approach is already dealing with upcoming issues which surely reshape our urban environments. From biomimicry to energy landscapes, from urban co2-scrubbing to flood resilient urbanism, the driving force for our practice is a transversal integration of fields as a way to ensure the free influx of ideas while allowing the surfacing of a new kind of designed reality.
